Although our preferred "discipline" is "Natural Horsemanship," we welcome all disciplines. We have people who ride English, Western, H/J, Dressage/Eventing. We even have people who don't even ride their horse, they just enjoy their pet! We're also a great retirement option, for your beloved partner who has done his job and you can't keep him at one of the $600 places but you want him to live his life out in green pastures with good food and happy companions.
There are 14 acres of pastures - including one with cross country jumps. There is the 75X175 indoor arena. Top that with over 25 miles of trails starting directly behind the barn, and you will wonder how you ever could spend less than an afternon at the barn.
We have a couple of kids here, but not the packs that you'll find at a normal lesson barn. We're mostly just people who want to enjoy their horse and be left alone. If you need guidance, we'll set you up with a reading list, dvd's, and some coaching.
If you want to bring in a trainer or "friend who knows a lot about horses and wants to help you," for your own lessons, they must carry their own liability insurance or hold a nationally recognized certification. Also, the trainer must teach you and not interfere with anybody else's enjoyment of the barn.
